Leather Care Instructions

Carry it. Let it change.

Leather is meant to be used. Its grain, tone, and markings are different from hide to hide, and everyday use adds more character over time. Caring for it is simple: clean gently, keep it away from soaking water and excess heat, and give it a little attention now and then.

A CARE GUIDE FOR YOUR LEATHER

Wear it in. Care for it simply.

Full-grain leather has a look and feel all its own. Its grain and markings vary from hide to hide, then shift a little as it is carried. You don't need an elaborate routine: clean gently, condition sparingly, and give it a thoughtful place to rest.

The care guide

01 / CLEAN

Start dry

For everyday dust, use a soft, dry cloth. For dirt that needs more attention, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe gently. Don't soak the leather.

02 / RAIN

Blot, don't rub

If it gets wet, blot with a soft cloth and let it dry naturally. Keep it away from direct heat.

03 / CONDITION

Use a light hand

Every few months, apply a small amount of leather conditioner. Test it first on a hidden area.

04 / BETWEEN USES

Give it a good place to rest

Store it somewhere cool and dry, away from prolonged sun and heat. Use a dust bag if available, avoid plastic, and lightly stuff bags to help hold their shape.

A NOTE ON NATURAL LEATHER

The grain is supposed to show. Natural markings, small scratches, and changes in color are part of full-grain leather's character. With use, they settle into a patina that is particular to your piece.
