Indigo Laine's Story
Indigo Laine was founded by Randi, and her story of creating work that represents individuality, heritage, femininity and timeless beauty. The name itself is part Randi – her favorite color, Indigo, and her middle name, Laine.
Rooted in South Texas, Indigo Laine is a women-led and operated leather goods brand creating pieces that are meant to be used, kept, and carried for years. Every product is designed and handcrafted in-house using full-grain leather made in the USA, with a focus on thoughtful design, durability, and function. What started as a single tote bag grew naturally through word of mouth, shaped by the people who trusted it and came back for more.
Our pieces wear in, not out. We design products that feel familiar, like something you already know and love, and become more personal over time.
Made with Intent: Our Process
Step 01
Ethically Sourced
The hides are a by-product of the beef industry and are ethically sourced here in Texas.
Step 02
Processed
The hides are processed and dyed in gold-rated Mexican Tanneries using US beef. Our full-grain leather keeps its natural markings, developing a rich patina the more you carry it.
Step 03
Handcrafted in-house
Leather is hand-cut and designed the old way. We select leather for the project and look for the proper weight, density and color that best suits the product. We mark the pattern on the leather, cut and sew, then sand and burnish the edges to make them smooth and seal down the fibers. Then we use a lighter to singe any loose threads.
